Let’s time-travel 300 years back, and have a look at Baja California’s history. We will take a trip to the historic city of La Paz. Here, we will explore the iconic 18th Century Cathedral and the charming main plaza; where you will have time to shop around tax-free Mexican handicrafts and souvenirs!

We’ll pick you up at your hotel, and we’ll start our journey by visiting two of the most beautiful areas - East Cape and El Triunfo (a turn-of-the-century silver mining town). East Cape is known for being a fast-paced fishing town. Famous for its hotels, cafes, restaurants, private airship and lots of fishing boats. On the other hand; El Triunfo is locally known as a “ghost town!”, don’t worry it doesn’t have to do with paranormal activity, but because of the peaceful vibes coming from its old historic walls and buildings, offering an ideal environment for relaxation or architecture appreciation. Next, we will visit La Paz for a delicious lunch at a nice local restaurant, we will tour the city, visiting the anthropologic museum, 18th-century cathedral and the tax-free shopping area in the main plaza.

On our way back, you will be fascinated by the beautiful scenes of the coastal highway. We will stop at the artsy town of Todos Santos, where we will find the famous and very much real Hotel California! The one that inspired the song by the American band Eagles. We will catch a picture-worthy sunset (during winter months) before leaving for Cabo. We definitely recommend this sightseeing experience!

We really enjoyed our time on the La Paz/Todos Santos tour. The guide, Carlos, was informative and helpful. The tour was not exactly as described, we did not get to "tour the city (of La Paz), visiting the anthropologic museum, 18th-century cathedral and the tax-free shopping area". We did have a lovely lunch, and then a required pearl demonstration, with only 40 minutes to walk around the downtown area. We got ourselves to the church, and tried to get as much of a feel for the city before we had to go to the next stop. In Todos Santos we were also left to our own devices to look around. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what we expected. Our guide Carlos, as mentioned, was excellent - with a vast amount of knowledge of the area, great driver, made sure we were all taken care of, and gave clear timelines for each stop. The longer stop in El Trifuno was another opportunity to explore on our own the ruins of the mine and the quaint town in an oasis. Overall we really enjoyed our time and are so glad we got to see more than just Cabo San Lucas on our trip to the area. Totally recommend for anyone who is interested in the local history and wants to get outside the tourist areas.

We took the historical/culture tour from Los Cabos to La Paz and Todos Santos. It was a wonderful experience. Stopped for ice cream at a Mexican street side shop, and delicious empanadas at another. We traveled to other locations on the way to La Paz that were interesting. We had a nice dinner in La Paz. We had free time to walk the Malecon and visited the beautiful mission there. Then on to Todos. Mario the guide had great knowledge of Mexican history and culture. He was bilingual. He imparted his love for his country now and past. Mario was a licensed guide, so he was able to take us into the hotel California. This is a wonderful day tour away from the Los Cabos area. We truly enjoyed this tour.

We enjoyed this tour, though so much of the time was spent in van. Had no time to tour museum in El Triunfo and little time in Todos Santos. Was little to see in La Paz, though the lunch was excellent. Mario was a good guide but spent last past talking to passenger in front and not the rest of us.
